Randy R. Bauman

Randy Bauman has over 25 years experience in the healthcare industry. He has advised physician groups and hospitals on the business of physician practice, including all aspects of physician/hospital integration, physician acquisition and employment, hospital network development, practice mergers and acquisitions, group formations, strategic planning, physician compensation, governance, and practice valuations.

Randy joined Delta in 1993 and developed models and methods used in the creation of the firm’s successful integration models.

Prior to joining Delta, Randy was a senior consultant with Chicago-based LINC Group, where he worked with hospital and physician clients on the feasibility, development, and financing of health care joint ventures, including imaging centers and medical office buildings.

Randy also served as a financial consultant for Control Data Corporation and started his career as a CPA with KPMG.

Randy received his bachelor of science in finance and accounting from Minnesota State University.

He is a frequent speaker for many organizations including the American Health Lawyers Association (AHLA), Medical Group Management Association (MGMA),  Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA), National Society of Certified Healthcare Business Consultants (NSCHBC) and many others.  He has presented numerous audio conferences and webinars on a diverse range of topics such as: The Changing Hospital/Physician Relationship; Reality Check – I’m Not in Control of My Practice; Disruptive Physicians and How to Deal with Them; Is Now the Time to Sell?; Selling a Physician Practice; and Choosing Autonomy – Guide to Returning to Private Practice.

He has been interviewed by and had articles published in numerous healthcare publications including The Journal of Medical Practice Management, Medical Economics, The Physician’s Advisory, Doctor’s Digest, Unique Opportunities, ACP Observer, The Journal of Family Practice, Urology Times, OBG Management and Group Practice Solutions.

His new book, “Choosing Autonomy – The Physician’s Guide to Returning to Private Practice” was published in 2016 by Greenbranch Publishing. The Third Edition of his best-selling book “Time to Sell?” was also published in 2016. Randy is a member of the Medical Group Management Association, the American Health Lawyers Association and Toastmasters International.
