Angela Herron

Angela Herron is a veteran financial healthcare consultant with more than 25 years experience. As a founder of Phoenix Healthcare Consulting, Angela’s work has focused on financial advisory services and business planning and development for hospitals, health systems, medical groups and ancillary service providers. She has held senior level positions with national healthcare consulting and financial services companies.

Her experience includes

  • Financial analysis for the merger of three hospital systems and their affiliated medical groups; assisted with completion of the Certificate of Need application
  • Pro forma analysis for the development of a network of ambulatory surgery centers, phased in over five years, including net income, cash flow, balance sheet and investors’ returns on investment
  • Completed an operational and financial assessment of a large
  • Prepared valuations of various physician organizations and outpatient centers for the purposes of merger or acquisition
  • Completed pro forma analysis for the development of a network of Ambulatory Surgery Centers, the parent company, management company and related real estate venture
  • Served as interim chief financial officer to a multi-location Urgent Care and Occupational Medicine group

Angela has published articles on MSO development and creative models for physician-driven managed-care organizations and co-authored the chapter, “Capitation Economics” for the textbook, Business Management for Contemporary Medical Practice, published by Springer Publishing Company. She serves on the Board of the Healthcare Financial Management Association, Lone Star Chapter, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Northern Iowa.
